Dining skills are a reflection of your personal and corporate brand. Etiquette is about showing kindness, courtesy and respect to those around us. The current trend in business is to hold interviews and meetings over a meal to observe social and dining skills. Observing how one carry oneself in dining situation is the best way to assess someone’s social awareness and etiquette.
Social and dining skills can impact one's upward mobility. Many individuals have excellent technical skills, but are unable to advance and reach their full potential because of inadequate social skills.
Knowing how to handle one’s self with poise in dining situations adds to an individual’s overall effectiveness when representing an organization at social and business events.
