1. Phone
For many of us, the telephone is still the primary source of communicating with others, especially at work. With no visual clues, your words and the tone of your voice are extremely important.
Be aware of your speaking volume.
Don’t answer your phone when meeting others.
Don’t place your phone on the table when meeting others.
Let the other person know when you have them on speaker phone.

Use a professional email address.
Use exclamation points sparingly.
Think twice before hitting “reply all”.
Be cautious with humor.
