Elevating Professional Standards: Assessment Certification for Protocol and Etiquette Consultants
Professional Protocol and Etiquette Consultant by ACCEPT: 26 - 28 November 2024 at UUM.
Alhamdulillah, ACCEPT was given the opportunity to collaborate with Jabatan Pembangunan Politeknik dan Kolej Komuniti and Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) which hosted an Assessment Certification Program for Professional Protocol and Etiquette Consultants. This program brought together participants eager to deepen their expertise and refine their skills in critical areas of protocol and etiquette.
The certification process was structured to ensure participants demonstrated mastery in three key modules:
1. Business Introductions
A handshake might seem simple, but it speaks volumes about professionalism and confidence. This module covered the nuances of introductions, including presenting oneself effectively, greeting with poise, and navigating cultural differences with respect.
2. Executive Dining Skills
Dining with clients or dignitaries? This module focused on the art of dining with elegance. With complete sets of dining tools each, the participants practiced place settings, handling tableware correctly, and mastering conversation flow during meals to leave lasting impressions.
3. Micro Sessions on Professional Protocol and Etiquette
These focused, topic-specific sessions offered participants the chance to explore intricate details, such as protocol in formal meetings, dressing for corporate events, and managing cultural sensitivities.
The highlight of the certification was the assessment phase, where participants demonstrated their knowledge through role plays, case studies, and presentations. Each was evaluated not only on their technical understanding but also on their ability to deliver content confidently and engagingly.
The program's success reflects the growing importance of protocol and etiquette in today’s professional world. Participants left with enhanced skills and the confidence to represent their organizations at the highest standards.
